01What you'll see

430 g, for the walk rather than the window

The NV-3 lights the dark with its own 850 nm infrared beam and shows the scene in black and white. Expect to recognise a fox or a deer out to roughly 70 m (75 yd), a little less than the NV-4 with its stronger lamp.

At about 430 g it hangs from your neck on a night walk without pulling, and fits a jacket pocket.

02In use

Put the picture on a phone so two people can watch

Turn on WiFi and the picture streams to the app on your phone: the person beside you sees what you see, and can save the clip from there. Photos and video also record to the microSD card in the binocular.

How is it different from the NV-4?

The NV-3 is smaller and lighter (about 430 g against 680 g) and sends a live view to a phone. The NV-4 has the bigger 4-inch screen, a stronger 5 W infrared lamp, a white flashlight and a 6-hour battery.

How far can I see?

In full darkness, expect to recognise a fox or a deer out to roughly 70 m (75 yd), and to see eyeshine further out. Listings that promise 800 m are quoting a best case.

Is a memory card included?

No, plan on your own. It takes microSD cards up to 512 GB.

When will it arrive?

Orders ship within 1–3 business days with tracking. Delivery takes 5–12 business days in the US and 7–15 business days in Australia and New Zealand.

What if it isn't for me, or it stops working?

Returns are free for 30 days, and your refund goes out within 7 business days of the return reaching us. If it stops working within 12 months, we replace it.
